Mousehole (Pronounced 'Mowzel')
![]() One of the loveliest villages in Cornwall if not in Britain. When you see a picture of Mousehole you could be excused for thinking it was a film set created for a historical drama. The granite cottages clustered around the harbour with lichen covered roofs and narrow alleys look just too good to be true. Mousehole is no theme park though- it's a real community of Cornish people and lively all year round with restaurants, pubs and cafes to compliment the stunning location. Stone paved narrow alleys hung with plants remind you of a mediterranean village and all streets lead down to the granite enclosed harbour with a small gap to the sea which is closed with timbers in the winter- 'The Mousehole'. Parking in MouseholeMousehole was designed long before the car was invented so the only option is to park in one of the car parks (£2 a day) or along the road to Penzance and walk in. Of course if you rent Dolphin Rise or Greta's Cottage, our fabulous properties above the town you will have your own parking. Mousehole BeachThere are two small but very safe enclosed sandy beaches within the Harbour ideal for families with small children or just to sit and watch the activity in the harbour. | |
